Winter Skirts and Traveling

I had to travel with my boss to a meeting a few hours away today. I really wanted to wear a skirt and suite jacket. The problem? Shoes! It's the dead of winter, we were expecting 10cm, and I really needed to wear my winter boots for the car ride. So I devised a plan- winter boots in the car then switch to high healed boots for the trip from the car to the door and for the meeting. I would have preferred shoes with this outfit, but I think the boots did the trick:
