I've read so much about adding spinach to a shake but I've been afraid to try it for a variety of reasons (I love spinach, but will it taste weird in a shake?).
I got the courage to try one and here's how it turned out!
It blended up pretty well once I added a bit more milk to the top.
I served my shake along side a homemade banana nut muffin!
The verdict: as you can see my shake is green (one of the things I was scared of). The ones I saw on other blogs weren't green, so I'm not sure how this happened. You can't taste it though! Which is great.
The Lean Green Shake
1 cup skim milk (more or less depending on how you like your shake and how it's blending)
1 dash cinnamon
1 tbps freshly ground flax seed
2 tbsp rolled oats
1 frozen banana
1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 large handful fresh baby spinach
Blend until smooth!
