how to eat at home instead of at a restaurant

The BF and I really have the itch to go to a restaurant! It was apparent when instead of making lunch at home yesterday we decided to walk to Subway.

On our way though, we convinced ourselves to go the economical (and tasty) route and stop at the grocery store for sandwich fixin's instead. Score one for us!

 For the coleslaw I grated some apple and added a slash of apple cider vinegar to the dressing. 

Two kinds of panini sandwiches: roast beef and cheddar with dijon and hot peppers + ham and pesto with parmesan, spinach and tomatoes

For dinner we got even more lazy and scoured the internet for an interesting place to eat (even though we had food in the house!). After settling on sushi I finally cracked and said we should eat the food we have! So once again we avoided a restaurant, score two for us!

 I love sauteing wax beans with a splash of olive oil and slivered almonds after their done steaming.
