plate decorating and cake decorating

To contrast my grey, white and black outfit (however awesome and classy looking!) I enjoyed some very colourful plates of food today!

For lunch, I raided the fridge and found an avocado, lime, cilantro, tomatoes and spinach. Put together on some whole wheat tortillas they made a wonderful lunch!

 

At cake decorating class we had fun with "flowers". I swear they all turned out looking like types of monsters. I ended up embracing the look and played up the fur and added eyes!

fajita night!

We had all the makings of some pretty tasty fajitas last night. After work I took over the kitchen and made a feast in about 40 minutes.

Gaucamole, from the biggest avocado I've ever seen!
Lime and Cilantro Chicken
Sautéed peppers, mushrooms and onion
Hot Salsa
Hot Sauce
Old Cheddar
Whole Wheat Tortillas

They were so delicious! I mean, check out this chicken!


As if that wasn't enough food for one evening, after eating I rushed off to the first of four of my cake decorating classes! After the basic "first class" speech we had time to learn one basic technique. We used it on some cookies. Next week will be amazing! We have to bring in a cake to decorate!
