Cooking in summer heat

My brother's place isn't air conditioned and it sure is humid these days! Our dinners have been very quick and easy this week.

I made a very tasty couscous dish. The topping is sautéed chickpeas, onions, garlic, spinach, feta cheese, olives and a few sauces (including some dashes of hot sauce).

On the side of this "fusion" dinner was some salsa and homemade tortilla chips (pretty much just toasted tortilla rounds cut in 1/8th).

At work, for a mid afternoon pick-me-up we headed to Starbucks for some iced coffees (check my order out: tall iced decaf skinny vanilla laté).

Another summer dinner: toasted tomato and cheese sandwiches with a cold crab spinach salad:

Yes, my outfit matches my lunch bag. No I didn't plan it, but yes, I really loved that it worked out that way!
