Button Necklaces

I was enjoying a relaxing Saturday morning reading blogs and surfing on Pintrest this past weekend when I came across some button jewelry. My grandmother, mom and I went through boxes of buttons this past summer and picked out the prettiest ones. I have them in an old mason jar in my sewing corner. I dumped them out and came up with these lovely groupings:



I checked out a few button necklace DIYs on the internet and came up with sewing the buttons on a stiff piece of fabric then cutting around it and sewing some lace, ribbon or in my case fabric to make a "chain". In hind sight I may have been better to use an even stiffer fabric or even felt as it gets distorted as I move about. Love the final look though! Especially for only an hour's work!
