fish and chicken taco night (a new tradition!)

It seems whenever the BF and I go to his sister and husband's house we make some sort of mexican dish.

We didn't mess with tradition a few nights ago with fish tacos (and chicken because we needed more food!).

The winning mix: cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes and avocado, shallow fried (and spice coated) fish (tilapia) and chicken breast, a variety of hot sauces, salsa and the most amazing cabbage slaw with lime and cilantro.

We made 12 white flour tortillas and, after some convincing on my part, 12 whole wheat tortillas. We used this recipe and they turned out alright! I'm not sure they were a big hit with everyone else though. I may have to try another recipe or do 1/2 and 1/2 with white flour.

It's a good thing we do Mexican so much, lots of chances to practice!
