fresh rolls

Fresh Rolls are such a great way to get your veggie intake for a meal! Salad you can eat with your hands and dip into tasty sauces.

These rolls were not authentic as we just used ingredients we had in our fridge after a few days away.

But the basics are:

Rice paper
veggies cut in sticks: carrots, cucumber, zucchini, peppers, broccoli slaw
flavour: I like to put hoisin, sesame oil, peanut oil, rice wine vinegar, sesame seeds and fresh herbs like cilantro and thai basil if you have it
shrimp

Dampen the rice paper, load on your fillings and roll into cigars!

Serve with some sauces. We love making a quick spicy peanut sauce.

See, salad can be fun!
