Bar night

I'm completely addicted to blogs! What a wealth of information. Tonight I wanted to try a healthy version of my all time favourite dessert- brownies. And while the oven was on I made a healthy breakfast / snack- granola bars.

The brownies are made with dates. I just love using these naturally sweet and incredibly good for you fruit in baking! This recipe made 16 2-bite brownies at 60 calories each.

I substituted the called for raisins for cranberries in this awesome granola bar recipe. These very dense bars are a whopping 100 calories each (the recipe makes 20).

I'm off the see Some Like it Hot in the courtyard behind City Hall in Kingston with my treats! Enjoy!
