banana butter love

I've been reading a lot of healthy living blogs lately. I stumbled upon this genious recipe the other day and couldn't wait to try it!

Banana Butter
From Chocolate Covered Katie - the healthy dessert blog
For about 4 servings

Ingredients:
1/2 banana
4 Tbsp Peanut Butter

Directions:
Whirl up in  your blender (I started on the low speed then brought it up higher to smooth it out)
It's amazing on a toasted english muffin! I can't wait to try the different variations (i.e. adding chocolate!).

I stored mine in a mason jar, but chances are it won't last 24hours so I don't need to know its shelf life. But I can't see it lasting more than 2-3 days in the fridge.

I didn't know what to do with the other half of my banana so obviously I just added to the deliciousness!

On the side of my new favourite breakfast? Decadently rich Dark Chocolate Almond Beverage.

Try it, it has an amazing texture. The best part is that you get a lot of delicious spread for 1/4 the calories of just peanut butter.

Enjoy!
