Chef's Competition

The closing ceremony of this conference is always a chef's competition. It's like eating three three-course meals for dinner. Wow. It was between three university/colleges: Algonquin College, University of Ottawa and Queen's University.

Queen's Braised Beef Short Ribs

and Dark Chocolate Goat Cheese Cake

U of O's A Study in Lamb (lamb three ways)

and Spiced Carrot Cake

 Algonquin's Veal Tenderloin and Poached Lobster Roll

and Quebec Maple and Bacon Mille Feuille

The winning team (by the judges vote as well as people's choice!): Algonquin College

I practically rolled home! What a night of wonderful food and flavours.
