We had a bit of a feast on Sunday night to end off a successful yet indulgent weekend (there was a lot of chocolate, wine and other tasty treats enjoyed throughout the weekend).
We started things off with a multi grain sourdough bread with decadent butter.
The BF had a fried chicken craving so he slaved away perfectly breading these bone-in with skin chicken thighs (there's the indulgent part, we never have chicken skin, boy was it tasty!). He cooked the thighs to crispy perfection on the BBQ.
I made a red cabbage and carrot slaw with an asian dressing to go along side.
Dressing: 2 tbsp rice wine vinaiger, 1 tbsp olive oil, dash of sesame seed oil, salt/pepper to taste, 1 1/2 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp dijon mustard, sprinkling of sesame seedsYUM!
It's nice to enjoy some decadence every now and again!
