Photo a day challenge- week four (final week!)

Final week of the photo-a-day challenge!

Day Twenty-Four - Three Things
Have you ever gotten any Stella and Dot jewelry? I haven't, but my co-worker got a few pieces the other day. I love the jewelry, but I loved the boxes even more!

Day Twenty-Five - Frame
It's the small things. I love our white window frame and white curtains in our office. It's a touch of pretty in a corporate world.

Day Twenty-Six - Near
I LOVED this fruit display at work all the colours beside each other really worked for me.

Day Twenty-Seven - Love/Hate
Working from home! I love that we get to stop and make a home cooked meal for lunch- like these Tuna Melts. I hate that I have to work all day and I can't do "home" things.

Day Twenty-Eight- A Good Thing
This only happens once a year so I jump at the chance to have mini pumpkins! Love this white one!

Day Twenty-Nine- Errand
Errands mean a stop in to Mucho Burrito! The BF got the Ghost Pepper one. Wow even my one bite was hot hot hot!

Day Thirty - You, Then
This was taken in January of this year. Almost a year with the Nikon

That's that! I would do this challenge again.

Photo A Day Challenge - week three

Week three of the photo-a-day challenge!

Day Seventeen- In my fridge
Monday night in my fridge- breakfast ready to go in the blender, lunch ready to take along to work and lots of water ready for the car ride and a workout. You can also catch a glimpse of our compost "bin", water jug and some almond beverage.

Day Eighteen- Price
At the Japanese Cooking Demonstration this past week the teacher brought bags of Japanese rice to compare quality vs price. I just though they were darn pretty!

Day Nineteen- Underneath
It was too chili to take my jacket off for an outfit picture so I kept it on. So you have to look underneath!

Day Twenty- Man-Made
They meant "woman-made' right? I BBQ'd!!! (the sausages in the back) and used them to make an omelette panini sandwich.

Day Twenty-One - Sometimes
This only happens once a year so I jump at the chance to have mini pumpkins! Love this white one!

Day Twenty-Two - Up
It was supposed to pour rain all day on Saturday, but check out this beautiful sky!

Day Twenty-Three - Before Bedtime
I'm really enjoying this book and usually the only time I get to read is right before bed. This is good and bad. Good because it settles my mind and I stop thinking about things I have to do, but bad because sometimes I stay up too late reading!

photo-a-day challenge - week one

I'm sure everyone has heard of this challenge, but have any of you seen it through? I've always had good intentions but never really dedicated myself to it. September is the month though!

I used this site for my list and have been going strong all week. Here are the last 7 days of pictures:

Day One - You Now
cooking up a storm on my b-day weekend

Day Two - Father
My dad, mom and bro at the zoo

Day Three - Far Away
Our LONG drive to Toronto

Day Four - In my mailbox
got to love apartment living - who gets mail other than bills or statements anymore?

Day Five - Bright
kale and carrot slaw

Day Six - Every day
It feels like I eat something spicy everyday! This is my second of three spicy burritos this week!

Day Seven - Natural
Or - "It's only Natural". The BF with a burrito in one hand and hot sauce in the other.  What else is natural? A third burrito night in one week!

Day Eight - At Night
I had to do a lot of research on this day (the reason I'm doing this challenge, so it was perfect!). I watched this simple tutorial about night photography to get my apperature and shutterspeed techniques.

I took this picture with my apperature at F5 and shutter speed at 2.5 seconds. I waited (someone creepely!) for a car to drive by to make the below lighting effect.

Day Nine - Something you do most weekends
Food is the theme of most of our weekends. When we aren't out shopping for ingredients we are usually found making dishes or going out to eat!

It's not too late to try this out! It really tests your imagination and pushes your photography skills to a new level.
